Who do you want to be?

Today, we had a lecture on self promotion.

Our course leader talked about self promotion within the fashion industry, and how we can contribute ourselves to the fashion world. I found this lecture interesting because it's about finding yourself as a person and creating a name for yourself in doing what you enjoy. Throughout the presentation, there were questions being showed by my course leader about this 'self promotion' topic which has inspired me to do more with my own blog and creating something for myself. It was a positive lecture which I feel like was helpful because I just needed that little kick to inspire me and give me courage to work more on my self promotion.

It's made me realise that there is work to be done with my blog and that I am still finding myself. I also have to start being a little more professional but there should be no forgetting that it's a personal blog so have fun with it as well. Towards the end of one of the presentations, my course leader showed us his own old which he seemed to be embarrassed of but I found it quite interesting, it was called 'suitcase confessions' and it was just imagery of his suitcase every time he traveled around. I loved the theme and the idea and I feel like my blog now needs a theme but then I don't know how to create a theme when my style isn't quite particular, it's all over the place and just a mess.

Even after a good lecture about self promotion, I am still sat here thinking 'who do I want to be?' and I hope it's not a problem. Guess I still have many years to come to find myself, this post is so cheesey but so was the lecture but in a good way.
