Portfolio
Shows some development but …
Those were the area of strengths which were talking about my first module - brand zine; where we had to choose a brand and then produce a brand-zine of 2000 words. I chose Levi's because I thought it was the brand which most related to myself however, it turned out to be quite a challenge and not as interesting as expected. My final outcome wasn't bad but I definitely was not that confident about it. It was rushed and I just kept getting creative block, so the composition and visuals weren't as strong as I wanted them to be - which is why the 2:1 was such a surprise for me!
accessible link to my final brand-zine!
Anyway, going further back.. We had another project which was basically a group version of my brand-zine project which we had to present a new concept in front of our seminar class.
My group chose Margiela, and I was definitely glad with this choice because as a brand, Margiela is so far from the norm, it will be fun and interesting to research into and as a group think of a new concept. In the end, we received a mid 2:1 for the project, which we were pleased with!
take a look at our presentation - which we presented dressed in white and black, with acetate sheets to link in with Margiela's brand identity.
These two projects were the main two projects we've had, part of our first module. I definitely did not expect to be getting grades like this in the first year, even though.. yes they aren't high grades, but still achieving something quite good, I think anyway. Honestly, I have enjoyed my course so far and looking forward to properly start my next module with my new group!
