In summary, this course has been quite similar to my college course, some of the things we have been taught I had already known but it was good to be recapped as I forgotten some stuff already. It has also been refreshing as we are getting taught these things different ways, at college it was quite a laid back atmosphere and we just had the odd powerpoint presentation but it was very independent and our tutors were like our friends by the 2nd year. Here at Uni, I find that it is more like school, with the lectures then the seminars in class rooms; it's more of an official learning atmosphere (if that makes sense). I'm so surprised on how vast this course is; the different topics it covers in both the fashion and business side of this industry - it's fair to say I am glad I've chosen this course! I could say more but it'll be too long aha.
But aside the course itself, I've had such a good first term at University; love my flat, love my course and the people on it too! Also, Nottingham as a city is amazing, 5 minute walk and you have everything and anything you need in the city. And as a typical fashion student, I need to learn to budget and not buy clothes constantly, it is definitely proving to be nearly impossible for me.
Anyway, bring on 2014 in Nottingham, 'cause I am definitely staying here - no doubt.
