We're going to the cinema?.. For a documentary?

So during my freshers week schedule, it said that I would be going to the cinema to watch a documentary; and to be honest, I was looking forward to doing nothing as I wasn't ready for lectures yet, however.. the fact it was a documentary we were watching, that was off-putting.
But in the end, I ended up loving it and kind of fell in love with Bill Cunningham - his character and his work.

Who is Bill Cunningham?

A Fashion Photographer for the New York Times; who is known for his individual approach to capturing Street Style.
Having the opportunity to photograph beautiful visuals of the last 40 or 50 years of New York, Cunningham is recognised for his energetic approach to this subject, therefore is adored and admired by many in the industry from both current and past generations.

'I don't pay attention to celebrities. I don't photograph them. They don't dress so... interestingly. They have stylists. I prefer real women who have their own taste.' - Bill Cunningham

'The main thing I love about street photography is that you find the answers you don't see at the fashion shows' - Bill Cunningham

My opinion on Bill Cunningham:
Well, having based my whole previous Final Major Project at College on street style; it was very interesting to watch somebody else having as much, actually more passion in this subject in the industry. I have been capturing street style since I got my first SLR camera for photography at school, so after watching this documentary, I was inspired completely.
Bill Cunningham, I believe has a natural talent in this field of work because of the way he captures personality, life and movement in his street style photographs; which most street style photographers struggle with, including myself. His enthusiastic, friendly personality shows through his work; and I truly admire that so much. Cunningham's photographs are just like no other.
